Design & Technology Labs
Our Design and Technology department is well resourced to encourage innovation, with specialist labs enabling access to industry standard ICT to support design. Students are given the opportunity to develop traditional engineering hand skills, as well as use a range of new technologies such as laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC routers, milling machines and centre lathes. Access to these facilities ensures that students develop a very broad skill base, which is essential for higher learning and industry.
Digital Environment
We are an innovative school that uses technology effectively to enhance learning and communication across our school community. As an Apple Distinguished School, with students, staff and parents using Google Suite across all areas of learning, we have implemented wireless access points and Apple TV in all classrooms, as well as interactive projectors which are installed widely across the school.
Olympic-sized Swimming Pool
At 50 metres long and 25 metres wide, our Olympic-size swimming pool provides a professional training and competition environment for swimmers of all levels. Home to our award-winning GIS Dragons swim programme, it is a space where students develop skill, discipline, and confidence in the water.
FIFA Youth Football Field
Featuring a FIFA-standard AstroTurf surface, our youth football field provides an outstanding setting for training, competition, and recreation. Located at the heart of campus, it brings students together through sport, teamwork, and community.
Hear from our community.
GIS gave me a sense of belonging through sports, friends, and support from my teachers, encouraging a healthy mentality of academic excellence and well-being. Throughout my time here, I have been surrounded by inspiring teachers and students who push you to be the best you can be.

Dr Michael
Head of Sixth Form, GIS
I wouldn’t have gotten into Oxford or even applied, let alone gotten the scholarship, without GIS.
Tze Wey
GIS Alumni, Class of 2024 Economics & Management at University of Oxford
We have found the GIS community to be vibrant, welcoming and active – with plenty of parent workshops, events and opportunities. GIS has a well-deserved excellent reputation for academic achievement, while also offering a comprehensive co-curricular program.
Both our children have had amazing opportunities to travel and represent the school in international sporting tournaments hosted by AIMS, FOBISIA and SEASAC. Our family has really enjoyed being part of the GIS community over the past 7 years.
Jeanne
Parent at GIS
Our eldest son joined GIS five years ago, and our second son started last year. Being part of the GIS community has been a wonderful experience—not just for our children, but for us as parents as well. The school is vibrant, engaging, and welcoming. From the very first day, we felt a true sense of belonging. If you’re looking for the best for both your children and yourself, we wholeheartedly recommend GIS!
